Lift the cover to reveal a woodland burrow aglow with warmth and delight, a world of storybook joy that stirs the childlike wonder we so often long for at Christmas. Inside, charming creatures gather in their cosy homes, each finding magic in the same little things that we do: a mole lights a fire, bunnies dance, a fox snoozes by candlelight, a mouse loses himself in a well-loved book, hedgehogs serve hearty suppers, and badgers exchange gifts beneath the mistletoe.

If you look carefully, you might just notice that these woodland friends have been busy sneaking treasures from the Glass & Wick barn, tiny candles, wax melts and fragrant delights to enjoy in their burrows as winter draws in.

Day by day, you’ll meet these woodland friends and the rituals they treasure most, a gentle reminder that at Christmas, magic lives in the little things.

Proudly hand-illustrated by Deborah Panesar, an incredibly talented local illustrator, based in Nottinghamshire.

Deborah specialises in detailed and heritage style illustrations that are heavily inspired by the natural wonders of the earth.

Her enchanting illustrative style has resulted in a truly magical, whimsical design.

This year, a repeat visit from a curious little mouse to the Glass & Wick barn sparked a thought - perhaps he was after some treasures to take back to his woodland home.

And just like that, a story began to take root...
